Milan Mrksich, PhD

Dr. Milan Mrksich founded Arsenal Medical and 480 Biomedical and has held advisory positions throughout his career on the board of governors of Argonne National Laboratory, the Department of Defense’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and several academic and editorial boards. After 15 years at the University of Chicago, Dr. Mrksich joined Northwestern University and was named the Henry Wade Rogers Professor in 2011.

He has received many honors, including election as a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineers, the Arthur Cope Scholar Award and the TR100 Young Innovator Award, and he was named to the list of the top 100 high-impact chemists. Dr. Mrksich received his doctorate in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and served as an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.
